KCD Entertainment, Kourtni Capree Duv, supported by Pride Northwest Inc., is thrilled to announce the start of a 2026-27 concert series, funded by a 2026 Metro Placemaking Grant. These grants are meant to “support community-led arts and cultural efforts that strengthen community resiliency in greater Portland,” and this concert series was one of thirty-two projects chosen from 115 applications. “A Vocal Monet” is the first concert in this series, taking place on June 14, 2026 at the Barrel Room, with doors opening at 5 PM.
This performance by Kourtni Capree Duv, a Black Trans native Oregonian, explores the beauty of perseverance through a vocal presentation that blends artistry with life experience. The show serves as an empowering invitation to embrace authenticity and celebrates the strength required to navigate spaces where marginalized voices are often gate-kept. The concert series will feature both local vocal icons, as well as guest artists who have been instrumental in Kourtni’s story.

About the Collaboration:
"A Vocal Monet" is made with PRIDE and is fiscally sponsored through Pride Northwest, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating and empowering the LGBTQ+ community in the Pacific Northwest. The partnership between Pride Northwest and Kourtni has been built over years of collaboration, including but not limited to: Kourtni serving as an emcee and ambassador for Pride events, being the featured National Anthem and “Black National Anthem” (Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing) at Portland professional and collegiate sport team Pride Nights, as well as a mainstay on the Pride Festival stage. The collaborative work for the 2026 Metro Placemaking Grant demonstrates the power of Pride Northwest’s Black Rainbow Initiative, a project of the Community Resilience Program, designed to uplift Queer voices of color.
