PaRade Route

About The Pride Parade

As we know, the popularity of Portland’s Pride Waterfront Festival and Parade has grown significantly over the years. All indications are that demand for participation and attendance will only continue to grow. As the organizers of the Portland Pride Parade, we are always looking for ways to improve the experience of participants while also ensuring the safety of everyone involved. Given the size of the Parade, this is not always an easy process! Although a great “problem” to have, growth also means adjusting the process.

Based on community feedback, several years ago, we implemented a second check in area for groups participating in the parade. This allowed us to alleviate the “traffic jam” of a single check in point and has been well-received by all who participate. Another area of feedback has been the amount of time that a lot of participants spend in the staging area (North Park Blocks) before their contingent begins to move. To try and lessen some of the time required to be present, this year we are implementing staggered check-in times for parade contingents.

To ensure that the parade runs smoothly, we need your support! It is imperative that everyone pay close attention to their assigned arrival times and are in place, in time to begin moving along the parade route. Most critical is making sure that any vehicles are in place by the times given.

Thank you for participating in the 2025 Portland Pride Parade and we appreciate your support!
